When Acton homeowners and businesses search for the best HVAC contractor in Acton or the best heating contractor in Acton, they're looking for one thing: a local, licensed team that shows up, tells the truth, and gets the job done right the first time. That's Preciado Air Conditioning.
We're a family-owned HVAC company with 20+ years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning and heating systems for homes and businesses across Acton, Agua Dulce, Vincent, and the rest of the Antelope Valley. Every technician on our team is licensed and insured, and we've earned 50+ five-star reviews from real customers who needed their AC or heat fixed and got it fixed right.
Expert HVAC Installation in Acton
Whether you need a new central air conditioner, a heat pump, or a full system replacement, our licensed technicians handle every Acton installation from start to finish — accurate load calculations, permit handling, and final testing included.
We install energy-efficient systems from trusted brands like Trane and Lennox, sized correctly for Acton's high-desert summers and cold winter nights, so you get lower energy bills and fewer breakdowns for years to come. Flexible financing is available on new installations and full replacements.
Furnace Repair, Heat Pump Service & Heating Installation in Acton
Acton sits in the high desert foothills, where summer heat gets the attention but winter nights are when a failed heating system hurts most. Heating setups vary from home to home, and we service both furnaces and heat pumps.
Our licensed technicians service and install both. The heating problems we see most often in Acton homes include:
- Furnace won't ignite or keeps shutting off: usually a dirty flame sensor, failed igniter or a clogged filter restricting airflow.
- Heat pump running but not heating: often a refrigerant issue, a failing reversing valve or a defrost-control fault.
- Weak or uneven airflow: a failing blower motor or capacitor, or leaky and undersized ductwork.
- Strange noises or short cycling: worn bearings, a cracked heat exchanger concern, or an oversized system.
- Older systems: rising repair bills and falling efficiency, which is when replacement usually costs less than another repair.
Same-day heating diagnostics are available for Acton calls booked before 3 PM. We diagnose the real problem first and give you a clear price before any work starts.
For replacements, we perform a proper load calculation, handle permits and test the system before we leave, so your new furnace or heat pump is sized to your home rather than guessed from the old unit. Financing is available.
Reliable HVAC Repair Services
AC won't cool, or the heat won't kick on? Our technicians provide fast, honest AC and heating repair throughout Acton, including same-day service for jobs booked before 3 PM.
We diagnose the real problem first — no guessing, no unnecessary parts — and give you a clear price before any work starts. From refrigerant leaks to failed heat pump compressors and furnace ignition problems, we fix it right the first time.
Preventative Maintenance for Long-Term Comfort
A yearly tune-up is the cheapest insurance you can buy for your HVAC system. Our
seasonal maintenance plans for Acton homes and businesses catch small problems — a dirty coil, a failing capacitor, a clogged filter — before they turn into a breakdown during the hottest week of summer or the coldest night of winter. Regular maintenance also protects your manufacturer's warranty and keeps your system running at peak efficiency.
How to Choose a Heating Contractor in Acton, CA
The "best" heating contractor is the one who is licensed, shows up when they say they will, and gives you a clear written price. Use this checklist before you hire anyone:
- Verify the license. Check that the contractor holds an active CSLB license for HVAC work. Look up any contractor on the CSLB website.
- Confirm insurance and workers' comp. Ask for proof, not a verbal yes.
- Get a clear price quote before work starts, with no hidden fees added afterward.
- Ask about the load calculation for any replacement. A contractor who sizes by the old unit's tonnage is guessing.
- Check recent reviews, not just the star rating. Look for mentions of your area, your type of system and how problems were handled.
- Ask about warranties: both manufacturer and labor, and what voids them.
- Ask about same-day and emergency availability during the cold months, when demand spikes.
- Be cautious of pressure tactics, such as "this offer expires today" or an immediate push for full replacement without showing you the failed part.
We're happy to be measured against this list. Call (818) 579-3753 and ask us each of these questions.
